Job Description

The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is inviting applications for the post of Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) to fill vacancies across various railway zones. The selected candidates will be responsible for driving and managing locomotives. The role requires high levels of concentration, physical fitness, and technical knowledge.

Eligibility & Salary

• Age Limit: 18-30 years as on 1st January 2026
• Educational Qualification: 10th/12th/ITI/Diploma in relevant trade
• Salary/Payscale: Level 2 of 7th CPC Pay Matrix (₹19,900 - ₹63,200)

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The exam will consist of two stages: Computer-Based Test (CBT) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

• CBT: 75 questions, 60 minutes, covering subjects like Maths (20), General Intelligence and Reasoning (25), General Science (20), General Awareness (10)
• PET: Candidates will be required to perform tasks like running, lifting, and carrying weights
