Job Description

The SSC GD Constable role involves serving as a constable in various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including BSF, CISF, CRPF, ITBP, and SSB, to maintain law and order, and protect the country's borders. The job requires physical fitness, discipline, and a strong sense of duty. Selected candidates will undergo training before being posted to their respective units.

Eligibility & Salary

• Age Limit: 18-23 years as on 1st August 2026
• Educational Qualification: 10th pass (Matriculation) from a recognized board
• Salary/Payscale: ₹21,700-₹69,100 (Pay Level-3) plus allowances

Syllabus & Exam Pattern

The exam will consist of four stages:

1. Computer-Based Examination (CBE): 100 marks, 60 minutes, with sections on:
   • General Intelligence and Reasoning (30 marks)
   • General Knowledge and General Awareness (25 marks)
   • Elementary Mathematics (25 marks)
   • English/Hindi (20 marks)
2. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): 1.6 km run, long jump, high jump
3. Physical Standard Test (PST): Height, chest, weight measurements
4. Medical Examination: Final selection will be based on medical fitness
