Job Description
The SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) exam is a national-level competitive exam conducted to recruit candidates for various Group B and Group C posts in the Indian government. The selected candidates will be appointed to positions such as Assistant Section Officer, Inspector, and Auditor. The role involves assisting in administrative tasks, maintaining records, and performing other duties as assigned.
Eligibility & Salary
- Age Limit: 18-32 years as on 2026-01-01
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor's degree from a recognized university
- Salary/Payscale: Level 6-8 (₹35,400 - ₹1,12,400)
Syllabus & Exam Pattern
The exam will consist of four tiers:
- Tier 1: Online exam with 100 questions (200 marks) - 60 minutes
- Reasoning (25 questions, 50 marks)
- General Awareness (25 questions, 50 marks)
- Quantitative Aptitude (25 questions, 50 marks)
- English Comprehension (25 questions, 50 marks)
- Tier 2: Online exam with 300 questions (800 marks) - 2 hours
- Paper 1: Quantitative Ability (100 questions, 200 marks)
- Paper 2: English Language and Comprehension (200 questions, 200 marks)
- Paper 3: Statistics (100 questions, 200 marks) (only for Junior Statistical Officer post)
- Tier 3: Descriptive paper (100 marks) - 1 hour
- Tier 4: Skill test or document verification
